Week in Review: Facebook’s Social Jobs App and XBRL Webinars
Posted by | November 16, 2012
Facebook is introducing a new social jobs app, expanding its mission to connect people by joining job seekers with employers and recruiters. The service will feature more than 1.7 million jobs and is a move that Bloomberg characterized as a challenge to LinkedIn.
Also in tech news, XBRL US is hosting a series of webinars designed to further educate XBRL developers on technical aspects of XBRL and working with XBRL-formatted US GAAP data, and on business and funding opportunities for startups with XBRL-enabled tools. Our own Phil Moyer will lead the first webinar, “The VC Market and Opportunities for XBRL Applications.” Phil will also be a judge in the second annual XRBL Challenge.
