On November 1, 2012, Stephen T. Zarrilli became President and Chief Executive Officer of Safeguard Scientifics, after serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since Peter J. Boni brought him on board in 2008. Steve Zarrilli is the first internally appointed CEO at Safeguard since Warren V. “Pete” Musser stepped down in 2001. Zarrilli offers Safeguard a rich entrepreneurial and operational perspective, a vibrant vision for the company’s future, and a deep appreciation for what has differentiated Safeguard from the very start.
